Pet food with No Bad Anything: Discover the #SubZeroDifference

This post is sponsored by Nutrience, PetSmart, and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about the launch of Nutrience Subzero in PetSmart Canada but Paws For Reaction only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Keira had an exciting trip to PetSmart® when we went to pick up our bag of Nutrience® Subzero™ and discover the #SubZeroDifference for ourselves. She’s not a very excitable dog but she sure loves PetSmart®- she wouldn’t even hold still for one good photo!

I often use pet food as treats for my dogs and I highly recommend it. Pet food is more balanced than pet treats so I use food to make sure my girls don’t gain weight while we are training- especially Hazel. Weight gain is bad for their hips. And we do a lot of training- especially Hazel!

PetSmart had a helpful kibble display for viewing or smelling purposes. Keira had some smells and we went with Fraser Valley. I love the flavours that this Canadian food comes in and the fact that the names are so true to Canada. Check out the Nutrience Subzero recipes- all made in Canada with wild-caught fish, meat and poultry sourced in Canada.

Not only is this food made in Canada but it is also backed by the Nutrience No Bad Anything promise. Nutrience uses a unique small-batch production for superior control- every bag they craft represents an unwavering attention to quality and an ongoing commitment to natural, wholesome nutrition.

I’m always worried about Keira when it comes to new foods because she is really picky and has a sensitive stomach. Once she turns her nose up at something she will never try it again. Hazel on the other hand will eat anything, anytime, anyplace and usually swallows it whole. Keira’s favorite treats are freeze-dried raw so I did have high hopes but you never know with her.

They both just love Nutrience Subzero! Keira’s was trying to outshine Hazel when we were training. Nutrience Subzero is a combination of grain-free kibble and freeze-dried protein that delivers the nutritional benefits of raw in a convenient, safe and easy to use recipe. It is a far healthier substitute to use in place of treats. Not to mention every bite they take contains hip and joint care supplements! They gobbled it right up!

I was surprised that Keira loves the kibble and NUTRIBOOST equally. NUTRIBOOST is fresh protein infused with nutritional ingredients that is freeze-dried to lock in the natural goodness of raw foods. Freeze-dried means that the ingredient has been flash-frozen and all of the water has been extracted. The NUTRIBOOST contains Pacific Cod liver, Acadian kelp, pumpkin and Green-lipped mussels. My girls were willing to do anything to get their snouts on this food- especially Hazel. She learned how to give the “other paw” with Nutrience Subzero and we have been trying to get that one for a while because she was just stuck on the one paw. I can’t wait to pick up another bag of Subzero so I can teach her to “play dead” like her big sister Keira!

Unfortunately Keira and I were not able to make it to Try Subzero for Zero event because I had to be a Dalmatian in the Santa Claus Parade but I want to hear from you.
